does anyone else hate this term?
"bullet bike" i mean damn everyone in feaking utah calles them that. even when i loved on the east coast (born raised in philly) they called them crotch rockets. now thats a little easier to deal with (probably cause thats where im from) but i can only call them sport bikes. am i being to **** about this or what? flame me if i am please

Well I might be the only other person on here to have heard that...
That's what my wife(from Utah) called it when she saw my SV......and being from NYC I kinda expected her to call it a crotch rocket also........and I hate hearing that term...sound so......corny..... for lack of a better word.

Never heard bullet bike, but it does sound quite stupid. I hate Crotch rocket. How can you hate twisties and gixxer? Two ancient words! Well as far as sport bikes are concenred anyway. I met a lady that called sports bikes "bee bikes" because they "buzz around". She looked a little confused when I started up my SV and rode away. I hate the word endo. I also hate rice-rocket.

I hate Gixxer, Crotch Rocket, Murder Cycle, Bullet Bike, and a few others I have heard.
Why cant people say Sport Bike, and GSX-R? Is it that hard? How about the Gixxer-G...GSX-R1k anyone?

I personally liked it when the Harely guys who taught the MSF course called super sport bikes "Zoom-splats". Kind of makes sense because alot of young kids buy the bikes, go zoom then go splat.
Only "rice rocket" is annoying to hear I think.

My uncle who rides Harleys calls them crotch rockets alllll the time, he thinks they are useless.

that is the best...... it's great when clueless people are like, "is that one of those ninja motorbikes?" it really dates these people as the 80's being their prime in life.
i guess we can thank kawasaki for bringing the sportbike to the public eye but hate it because it has stcuk in peoples brains as the only sportbike out there.
