Default Changing stock alarm beep to aftermarket "woot woot" lol

I hate the stock sound of the stock keyless (when you lock/unlock) and I want to change it. I got a Code Alarm siren, and was wondering if I can swap out the stock siren with this so when I hit the stock keyless it goes woot instead of a womanly beep. Sorry for the incoherent sentences, but this is just a pet peeve of mine. So basically is this possible and how should I go about doing it?

And also, how do you reset the keyless? Mine seems to go out of whack every 3 months, and I have to take it in, they reset it doing something to the dash while pressing a button?

Thanks

Stock alarm in what car? Most stock alarms/keyless entry use the car horn for the beeps and "siren", but its not a biggy, you need to find the "alarm/keyless brain" determine what wire is the horn/siren output, disconnect it, and wire it to the siren.

I know of no stock alarm/keyless that has a override/program switch to push, are you sure that it's a stock alarm/keyless, or is it a dealer installed aftermarket unit. 94

The horn output is a blue/green wire on the green plug for the anti-theft module behind the radio it is a neg. (-) output, use a relay, and you can hook up any 12V siren. 94

Does anyone know how a stock alarm look like on a 98 Civic EX. I'm restoring a "theft recovery" car and I just bought and programmed the keyless remote for it. The keyless entry feature works fine, but there is no beep sound when I lock/unlock the doors and the LED on the stereo does nothing. Further investigation showed that there is no fuses in slots 3 and 6, the "Security Control Module" harness behind the radio is not plugged in anywhere and I can't find a place to plug it in.

So my question is how does this "Security Control Module" look like, where should I be looking for it, is it standard equipment on a 98 Civic EX and if it is not, how hard/expensive is it to add the factory alarm to a car that apparently does not have it?

Also, I would really like to install my aftermarket stereo as well. I've heard some info about bypass harnesses and that the stock stereo should be mounted somewhere under the dash in order to keep the keyless entry feature. Is there anywhere a good write up or a thread on how to do this the right way?

The alarm was an option, as was key less entry, as for adding one, shouldn't be to hard, plug it in, plug in the starter cut relay, program the remote, as for price, you will have to check with Honda, I have never replaced one with an OEM one, always installed or added an aftermarket one, I bet Honda wants $$$ for it.

If you want to install an aftermarket HU, [stereo] install an aftermarket alarm, that way you don't need to keep the OEM HU in the car. 94

Well, I like the factory keyless entry fob so much, that I decided to keep the factory head unit in the car anyway, I'll just try to find a good place to mount it under the dash.

The dimensions you gave for the alarm unit seem to be pretty accurate. I bought the entire kit brand new off of eBay for $50 shipped. The alarm unit mounts on top of the factory radio, there are even holes for it there. The installation I guess should be really easy. Especially since I'll have to get under the dash anyway, to install the aftermarket stereo .
