Default 93 Accord shocks?

Well, after countless CV axle failures the shocks are also pretty work out. They also squeak really really bad when I hit the slightest bump and the ride is pretty bad now. So I want to invest in some good shocks/coilover. I want to lower the car ever so slightly so i'm guessing, .5-1". What shocks are good for a 93 Accord? I'm not big in this area at all so I don't know the pros/cons of gas shocks and/or adujestment methods. Thanks.

If ur gonna lower ur car .5-1" there is no point in gettin a coil-over system. You might as well get a spring and shock combo.

What would be good, bang for the buck wise?
