98 Acura Intregra lock actuator Install
I am installing power door locks in a Integra that has none. Does anyone have any pictures or can explain the best place to locate the actuators?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
Sorry no pix, but you want to install them so they line up as close to parallel as you can to the lock linkage rod, the one that runs from you manual lock/unlock button to the latch , that is what you are going to connect the linkage rod that comes with the actuator to, you don't want anything interfering with the movement of the actuator rack or the linkage, [like the door panel when you put it back on] it doesn't make any diff. what way the actuator points, as long as when its mounted it easily moves the lock/unlock linkage, you have it right when using the manual lock/unlock button you can hardly tell that the actuator is connected, when adjusting where on the lock/unlock linkage to connect the actuator linkage, just move the lock/unlock linkage all the way one way, and move the actuator rack the same way as far as it goes, then move the actuator rack back the other way just a little and tighten the set screws, [a little locktite on them won't hurt] that way the actuator rack will not be at the end of it's travel before the lock is locked or unlocked, [what you are trying to do is center it] keep testing it all the way along the install, each time you finish a step test the lock, just touch the wires to the pos. (+) and neg. (-) of a power source, Even a 7V or 9V Makita batt. will work, and just rev. the wires to run the actuator the other way, [that's why it makes no diff what way the actuator points.
