maybe there is a break in the wire did you check it from sensor to ecu harness for continuity?

ok... here we go step by step...
-check if light is on... make sure its code 6
-reset ecu
-is engine check light still on...? if not the problem is intermitant check connections..
-if light still on warm car up till fan comes on then dissconnect the senor and messure the resistance should be 200-400ohms (if not replace the sensor)
-turn igniton on
-if its on messure volatage between red/white wire and ground..(should be 5volts)
if not problem in that wire repair it..
-if on messure voltage between red/white(+) and green(-) terminal(should be 5volts) if not around 5 volts repair that wire that goes to ecu c12
if nothing fixes ur problem replace ecu with known good one

if you didnt know what pin it was on the ECU, then you didnt follow the trouble tree.

the only thing the flowchart can't find is a damaged pin at the ECM, ECM plug, sensor, or sensor plug, unless you are using the correct test harnesseslike the dealer.

well its pretty simple
you cut the pin wit some room to wire and solder or you remove pin and make whole new wire but go throught the steps and i bet its just a bad sensor
