What do you guys think of unpainted side moldings?
I'm going to paint my car soon and i'm still debating whether or not i should paint the side moldings. I'm really stumped between the two. If some of you guys could share some pictures of 92-95 civics w/ the side moldings unpainted and some that have been painted that would help. But what do you guys think

Whoa, quick poster. lol. I'm actually going to be painting mine almost the same color of that car. It's a silverish tan that comes off of a CRV. If that helps any... Do you guys think it looks good on the lighter shades also? Because most people say if it's a darker shades, then yes, unpainted is fine. But if its a light shade then noo.
I use to want them unpainted till they start fade and miss match the other moldings in the rear quarter panel and front fender...painted my car this summer and got it done and Im happy I did so.
both ways it still looks good

Theres actually this really cool stuff it's made by "mothers" and it's called "back to black" It can be used on the plastics and rubber pieces that tend to fade away and turns them into the rich black color that they once used to be. And it actually lasts hella long and it's cheap. Check it out! I used it on my EK when the weather stripping on the roof started turning gray
It's not a black compound it's a transparent liquid grease type of stuff that just rehydrates it i guess. So it doesn't harm the paint or turn it black incase ur wondering.

keep it unpainted
and if it starts to fade, just tape off your car around the moldings or take them off if you want, and respray it with duplicolor bumper spray paint or duplicolor trim paint...flat black in color

definetely unpainted.
I think i have to say that the USDM side moldings are better though..
thin jdm ones are cool, but honestly, i'd rather have a more prominent molding,
rather than one that is "kinda shaved ish.. but kinda not"
either way though they aint bad
