Sup guys and girls.....I need to borrow a P73 ECU from a 00 ITR for my NY inspection. My caR won't pass these new dumb-*** NY emission tests with out one. I only need it for like a day. My inspection is up on the 6/6/05 so most likely it would be on Saturday that I would need the ECU. I am located on Long Island right on the Queens boarder so if you can please help a brother out let me know. Thanks.

not gonna work...2000/01s have the immobilizer, so you wouldn't even be able to start your car if you plugged in someone else's ecu

 

You also need to get like 50-60 miles on the ECU without getting a CEL before you can get the car inspected. I'm dealing with the same situation right now and I'm telling you now its not going to be easy. Its literally next to impossible to illegally pass now.

you will need an obd2b-obd2a conversion harness which cost about $125
but it will work and imho, is your best option at the moment

their ecus (2000/01) are not often in jeopardy for the reasons stated above...it will not start another car
