Hello everyone I'll start off saying that I am looking for a new car, and that I was looking at getting a 5th gen prelude until I found this S2000 for $8000. I'm not sure if I should act on it or possibly keep my hands clean. Here's what is what he guy replied to me:

My name is R## M###### and I am the legal owner of the 2004 Honda S2000.The price for it is $8,000 . This price includes the shipping to your door and insurance no matter of the location. The car is in perfect condition as shown in the ad and has no mechanical problems.All services has been made at a Honda Service in time.

It has a Clear Title which you will receive with the car.It can be registered into your name.No scratches or dents,Also it is an US model.

There were no accidents not even dents on the paint.The car was mostly garage kept.

If you are still interested in buying it please reply asap and let me know where are you located."



I want this car but this deal is WAY to good to be true also he noted in his post that he owns three of them. Its actually below what I want to spend on a car so I am giving it serious consideration. Now I'm with in a doable driving distance from him, which if i decided to get it I would not have it shipped so I would at least see it before taking it.
If it consensus comes out to it being a scam I will post the link here to help deter people from getting taken by it.

8,000? It must have a salvaged title and or something else wrong or its just a total scam, way to good to be true

 

100% sure it is a scam.

ask for the VIN. ask where it is. post up on s2ki in the general forums and I bet in 10 minutes you'll find out just who's VIN it belongs to and even more... who's S2000 is in the picture.

hehe yea, i've been looking @ s2k's on ebay.. i really want to get one next summer. I wanna sell my integra, and save up some cash and put like 10k down on a 01-02. I don't want payments for that long, kinda wanna pay it off quick. I kno i'll miss 400whp but i think i'll make it up in hotness

 

Well that does it. It was a scam, since the ebay picture is the same but the location was different, the one i was looking at was in Detroit, MI. And I found it on autotrader in a mile radius from my house. Oh well its not there anymore.

i smell SCAM! I came across an RX7 for a really good price on Ebay and when I asked the seller where the cars located he said UK and to pay him thru Western Union. BULLSHIT!.
