Default b20 markings ( anyway to tell its a real b20 )

I have a guy trying to sell me a b20 block but he said he sanded off the b20 serial number, he said he could mic the piston bore and show me its the right size but that does not mean ****. He could of bored it.

So my question is, is there any marking on the block that will tell me its a b20 ?

I guess he wanted to "street race", and say he had a b16 or something dumb like that. I'll look at my jdm b20 block and see if there is anything unusual about it.

He knows it sounds shady and understands that it sounds shady so THAT's why he's selling it for so cheap? That motor is ****** stolen.

Well, if you are still interested in buying the block, there is a simple way to tell if it is a B20 block or not. Look at the sleeves. If they are separate, then you are probably looking at an LS block. But if all the sleeves are one piece, it is a true B20 block.
