Default DC2: Tanabe Sustec Pro S-S Type II vs. H&R Cup Kit

I've narrowed it down to two options for my '98 GS-R's suspension. (No Omnis, thx. ) Looking for some opinions on the Tanabes and H&Rs. Seems not many DCs have the Tanabes. The RSX crowd likes them (believe most were Pro S-OC) but would like some feedback from users with my chassis.

Tanabe Sustec Pro S-S Type II[*]matched spring/shock [*]adjustable damping[*]adjustable height[*]6k/4k, which is fine for me[*]$300 more than H&R setup

H&R Cup Kit[*]matched spring/shock[*]adjustable damping [*]adjustable height (but must use pre-determined settings)[*]Koni Yellow shock (loved them on my EJ8 ) [*]spring rates unknown [*]progressive springs (I'd prefer linear)[*]will save $300

The Cup kit is tempting, but the drop is lower than what I want (2"). Though I can raise it, I can fine-tune height adjustments much easier with the Tanabes. I've also considered GC/Yellows but am mainly looking at Tanabe and H&R. Too many choices! I've done the research and have given it thought for the past 2-3 months but still can't ******* decide. Feedback from H-T? (Leaning a little towards the Cup Kit right now, though.)

Thoughts? I'm thinking the H&R Cup Kit would be best for my needs. Feedback is welcomed if anyone has experience with either on a DC2.

theres not a real diffrence when you raise the car on the cup kit. its about 1/2 inch diffrence the most.
its low on the highest settings and even lower on the lower settings i'll grab a pic.

i had it for almost 2 years rides awsome. but when set on the low height setting it rides like poop.

This is completely unrelated, but Hayabusa, what lip is that on your car?

LOL. I'll admit, though, that it's a very clean lip. Thx for the input, hayabusa160.

np
the lip is an invidia lip i got it because not alot of people have it and i love how it looks.

my friend had the tanabe on his accord he loved it but they were pretty stiff. i would have to say stiffer then my set up. if i were to do it again i might go for something stiffer. the cup kit is nice for street use its not too stiff, just perfect if you want something to zip around town with a nice top but still wont kill you.

Sounds like it'll suit me just fine. I actually ordered up the Cup Kit today, so hopefully they'll arrive soon. Anyway, I decided 3 months was long enough to debate which setup I should buy and chose H&R. The Tanabes would've been overkill for my skill level and driving style, anyway. For how I drive, where I drive, and my driving ability, I believe the Cup Kit is the best choice. I like a semi-soft setup (more comfortable with it), and this fits that, it seems. Kind of disappointed the springs are progressive, but oh well. . . .
