pr3 ecu question
background info: car automatically throws code 23 (ks) no matter what, even though the engine doesnt knock. i thought it must be the wiring..... fast foward to yesterday....
as im installing a piggyback, i go to hook up the signal wire for the knock sensor. pin b19. i notice the wire is a different color than the one thats hooked to the knock sensor itself. i trace the lines and found that pin b17 and pin b19 (right next to each other) seem to be swapped. pin b17 is my ignition output wire. the car runs great as it is, just throws code 23. should i swap these wires to where they should be?
what do you people recommend?

Remember that the knock sensor doesn't set a check engine light when it detects knock, it's supposed to do that. The check engine light comes on when it sees that it's NOT detecting knock, or whatever it detects. Sounds like you have a wiring issue. Without a diagram in front of me, I can't sell what goes where, but I can say that if the ignition output signal was going to the wrong place, the car probably wouldn't run. You sound like you're on the right track though, trace wires to make sure everything is going to the right place.
ya i think i am but im boggled none-the-less. i have bigger issues right now, like how to get it to idle at 750 like it did last week before i replaced the TB gasket and how to get the vtec solenoid not to leak and get the car to pop onto vtec at 48 like it did last week.
