fuel pump kill switch in a 96
i searched and the wire that im supposed to tap into was black with yellow follower but the 4 wires coming out of the trunk on the car neither of them are black. I have baby blue with silver spots, blue with silver spots, grey with silver spots, and green/yellow with silver spots. Which wire is it that i need to tap to wire a fuel pump kill switch? U have to get to the wires in the trunk since its a 96 and there isnt a access panel under the rear seats
find your main relay under the dash and wire to the black/yellow wire from that.
sounds like you have the rear speaker wires to me...

ok ill try that, the wires i was refering to actully go thru the trunk bottom to the tank so unless he has a speaker down there i dont think it is. (not being a *******) so the power wire for the fuel pump is black with yellow stripe that needs to be tapped to?
anyone know the wire? i dont want to cut a wire and screw my friends car up!! Iv heard its the black/yellow wire coming from the PCM main relay under the dash? i dont see y i cant tap a wire near the pump though. Come one people i know you have done this before
are you looking under the trunk floor board and under the cap you will see the fuel sending unit, and also lines leading to the pump. pull away some of the wire shrouding and you should see it. in order to get to the actual pump you'd have to drop the tank.

yo dark i got a question i know you want to install a fuel kill switch my question is are you going to put the switch inside the car?? if so why not tap on the black/yellow wire coming out of main relay going to fuel pump underneath dash ......
well that is the wire im gonna tap its just i see a black/yellow wire under the dash but i dont know if its the right one. Its coming out of a box with a rust colored bottom and the wire is on the bottom left of the connector (if ur head is where the pedals are and ur feet in the seat). what gauge wire should be used? i have 20 gauge but i think that is to small, maybe 16?

The original wires you were speaking of were rear ABS wires. I'm in the same situation as you. I would prefer to tap into the fuel pump wire in the door sill like I do on Civics/Integras, but it doesn't appear to be routed in there.
To answer your question, yes, 20 is too small for the fuel pump power wire. It is fine for the control side of the relay however. For the fuel pump power wire, use the same gauge (16 on Civics/Integras), or if you replace the whole wire with 14 gauge, you will see an increase in fuel pressure.
I removed the rear seat and the trunk board and I don't see the fuel pump cover. I'll just get it at the main relay.
