Default Motorcycle Insurance

Anyone know where I can obtain cheap insurance for my bike? I just need names of cheap insurance companies. If they charge monthly it'll be great.

Statefarm will be cheapest providing you have a squeaky clean record. They only allow either one ticket or one at fault accident. Any more and no dice.

If not I've had good luck with Progressive. HRCA discount is pretty good.

go through an insurance broker, it will cost you about $100 but its WELL worth it. they have a list of 1000 insurance companies in their cpu. they put in your info and the cheapest one for you pops up. ever herd of Eastwood? that's a broker. i had just basic coverage on my 900RR they got my payments down from over $1000/year progressive to $324/year Mcgraws classic plan. I just herd Costco is now an insurance company that everyone is saying is real cheep

McGraw is the best.

State Farm actually sells their insurance plans, but for a small middleman fee.

I was quoted only 30 a month from Mcgraw. I have a record that would make most of you cry, and run in fear. Trust me, I've fucked up before, mostly points violations, and shitty cops in Milwaukee.

I went with progressive. I have state farm auto insurance for years as well as my house policy et al but bike policies have to be written seperately they said (last tuesday). So rather than drive out to my agent I called prog. and went with them.

I'm with Progressive now but am considering broker service like hks mentioned. No tickets here, but one DUI ... jacked my costs waaay up, even being 25 now and the DUI was three years ago. Anyone else here have DUI/insurance experience?

The guy I bought my sv from was selling because he got a DUI and could not afford the insurance anymore. I think your pretty much gonna get screwed if you have a DUI on your record. Doesn't it stay on there for like 7 years?

Yeah stays on there for 5-7 years and added 2 points to your record. That's like 2 accidents at faults in on incident.

Welcome to my world.

I could envision my agent drooling on the other end of the phone when I signed up for coverage on the RR.

Hey, good news, though ... only four more years to go till it's gone!
