Default gears jam in rain?

well as the title says, everytime it rains real bad my gears almost lock up its almost impossible to shift, but as SOON as it stops raining its fine.. my car will shift smoothly everytime i get in it except for when it rains? umm by the way i have a 00 ex.. lowered 4 inches in the back 3 1/2 in the front.. im assuming either cause my cars real low or bad shift linkage?

My first thought was shift linkage... have you checked it?

damn funny this happens to me too.. in heavy rains.like driving through 2-3 inches of water) mine doesnt want to go into 3rd gear, 4th or 5th gear. im lowered 3inches (no finger gap)

92 si hatch, tranny has no grinds even in reverse. all smooth shifting all the time... i never really checked to see what was wrong since i know my tranny is solid. so i can only assume its the shift linkage and the water getting inbetween the movement and locking the shift linkage. ill have to wait till the rainy season and thne loob it good and see if anything changes...

the only other problem i can see. is i have a DP short shifter, and is about 1/2 inch away from the bpipe. so maybe the water is pushing up my bpipe a bit and then locking the shifter from moving forward? but yet 1st and 2nd gear was fine. bahhh i dont know...

couldnt of described the problem better.. does honda shift linkage just suck in water? cause ive seen some slammed cars and never heard of it..

well its not suppose to.. its probably one of those R&D test they do... i would have to say its just a loob problem.. i have never loobed my linkage ever so... ill have to wait to see if thats the problem..

i figure if the transmission are shifting perfectly in dry whether , common sense tells you its not the problem in the rain. so i say its the linkage and it just need some more loob on the moving parts...

B0000000000 wont know for sure until another 6-7 months from now when it rains hard again...
