NEPTUNE TUNERS in SOCAL
I think the only person in CA period, is up in Nor Cal @ RCrew ... I'm surprised none of the big name So Cal tuners (i.e XS Engineering, Dynamic Autosports, Church, etc.) aren't privleged to the Neptune goods.
When i contacted the Neptune guys last month, they informed me no one in socal tunes neptune as of right now. I am very surprised by this as well, considering its SOCAL! but anyways, if you contact neptune, it might be possible to have him come out here and tune it himself. He said he would let me know when he was coming out next. For i would love to run neptune as well!
Seems pretty expensive to have someone come all the way out here to tune. Unless theres a group buy type of thing where we all meet at a designated time and place. If you happen to find out any info on this, please post up.
it was more of a when he was coming out here, he would tune. not he would come out here just to tune. Everyone interested in neptune should send a msg to HRTuning telling him we want neptune support in socal, and try to setup a group dyno. it would be nice.

i thought i read some where that sean at churchs is doing neptune, might have been chrome hes tuning now, but my post was pointless.... no info provided by me
I have been exchanging emails with Church, I'm waiting on him to get back to me currently. I do have family and friends in San Diego, so I do make trips out that way as well.
I've exchanged emails with the Neptune guy. He was somewhat concerned by my close relationship with Hondata. I also told him that I work with AEM, Toda, Greddy, etc., but what can you say.
He's asked for a number of dyno plots and associated Hondata tune files to check my credentials I guess.
I wasn't particularly flattered by that, but I'll get around to sending him the stuff at some point.

I'm pretty sure he does that to all his potential tuners because he wants to ensure that there aren't any hacks blowing up engines with Neptune. I guess it is a plus knowing that if you're getting tuned by a Neptune dealer, your tuner has qualifications beyond just having a checkbook.

I wasn't trying to flatter you of course, that goes without saying. Though you have a great reputation, and I do look for that, that's not all I look for. I have to make sure the tuners offering NepTune are highly experienced and capable. I never assume so by reputation, that could be bad news. I look forward to seeing your capabilities.

When someone has achieved a great deal of proficiency and expertise in their chosen field (as Shawn has), it is a little insulting to have to demonstrate their prowess to a merchant in order to use or distribute the merchant's product. I certainly understand the desire of NepTune's authors to keep NepTune out of the hands of bumbling incompetents. I have no doubt that in time C_A_T and NepTune will come to an understanding. Shawn will master NepTune, as he has countless other engine management systems, and he will become a valuable asset to the NepTune Team. This will open up one of the largest markets in the United States to NepTune. The demand is certainly there.
I completely understand that and my wanting to check into his abilities does not mean that I think he's a bumbling incompetent whatsoever. I simply check into all applicants thoroughly and equally. It's insulting when someone with a Honda asks "What is NepTune?", but I realize not everyone knows about it and I don't expect them to run it without checking into it's capabilites and making sure it's right for them. It's simply a process.

</TD></TR></TABLE> I AGREE , i would like to be able to offer every type of engine management to my customers as well . i was interested in purchasing NEPTUNE so i can add that to my list of programs that i sell/tune. i did not know that there was an "interview" process involved. (not being a smart ***) but seriously wouldnt you want your great product to be on the minds of as many tuners/distributors as possible? this is the only way that people will be able to make an edjucated decision on what they wish to go with ... excuse my spelling i am in a hurry ....... anyways i guess for now i will be able to offer pretty much everything except NEPTUNE.

There are many aspects to marketing a product. It seems that Neptune is taking the view that it wants the best, even if that limits its tuners (which not having a socal tuner, is very limiting). HRTuning is just making sure that the people that get neptune that they get the best tune they can out of neptune. This allows the customer to see what sets neptune above the rest. So hopefully everything will work out, because im still waiting.......

This Neptune program is gaining interest from me. I'm currently a hondata owner (s100) and planed to upgrade to s300, but this might change... lots of positive feedback about Neptune, and I like how perticular HRTuning is about the product
Only problem for me is that I just moved to socal
Any tuners in this area gets ahold of this thing please send me a PM
