Hey ok, i got a problem today i noticed that my temp gauge was gettin high, so i threw some water inside the radiator and it went down a little, now i want to drain out the coolant, and new one in...how do i do this???? i searched but all of them have to do with gettin the air out of the coolant, i need to completely take out the liquid, thanks in advance!

 

theres a freeze plug bolt on the front and back of the motor

just unplug one of them with a 19mm (i think?)

when the bolt is out a good bit of coolant should come out
to flush it all out
stick a water hose into the radiator and watch water come out of the block

it should be behind or near the header to the left

you may need one of the cv joint socket thing to loosen it(those adapter that lets you go at an angle)

on my b16 the bolt is to the right of the motor stamp. you should see a bolt (its pretty big you cant miss it)

 

damn, sounds like a pain...should i jus put more coolant in it tommorow, and jus watch the temp gauge from now on?

 

if you have a b16 you wont need the angle socket thing

i would flush it out if its an old car
if you flushing it out
replace the thermostat since all the coolant is drained

 

Yeah i got a B16A, i jus got rid of my turbo setup on my LS motor like 4 months ago so the coolant shouldn't be that bad on this motor
