9300 RPM
I already posted this at automotiveforums, but i thought you guys would like to see.
Want to see what 9300 RPM will do to your type-s? Actually, it may haved revved higher than that, that is just what the freeze data said when the code set. 9300 RPM, 81 MPH, throttle wide open. The guy said he missed a shift (most likely trying to race and went from 5th to 2nd instead of fourth). Anyhow on to the pics.
Yeah, that used to be a valve stem and face.

Far away of the cylinder head. Notice the missing valve.

Close up of the head. Yummy. The valve face beat around in there for awhile.

Far away of the block. Is that a piston?

Yep used to be. Close up.

The old Engine and trans removed.

Me dropping the new unit in place. Or actually raising it in place.

Another of the new head and block assembled and going in.

I hope none of you guys have to experience this. You would faint if you saw the bill.

Haven't posted the actual bill yet, but the estimate is up to $12,500.00 That is a new head, longblock, new cat, all new gaskets, new clutch an pp, stock intake box, two O2S, and some other minor things. My *** hurts typing this.

those pics remind me of the video that i got on club rsx when that guy driving was redlining it and miss shifted it. have you guys seen it? i would post it but i cant find the link. anyways i feel sorry for that guy

ouch im lucky that didnt happen to me I've done that a few times racing my friend i went from the top of 3rd back into 2nd...i can just say the car doesnt like it...

i think why nothing happened to us is because we dont got hondata...and our redline kicks in and stops us from blowing up our motor...

a fuel cutoff isnt going to do jack **** when u go into 2nd instead of 4th at the top of 3rd, mechanically ur screwed.
