when i first start my car in the morning i have this valve knocking sound for a few seconds until my 99 lude warms up and then later on after work it sometimes knocks a little, but when it is really hot out it doesn't knock at all seems to go away under any acceleration and it also doesn't happen all the time engine runs good and strong also i can hear it in the exhaust tone while it is knocking

possible loose exhaust valve? i know it's time for another valve adjustment could this be the problem? a little advise please

 

Try adjusting the valves. Are you sure its a valve noise and not a rod knock or piston noise?

 

I get a rattle sound upon start up every morning. It eventually goes away at idle when it warms up, but when I am driving and I switch gears at a low rpm I get the rattle again.

I took it too Honda Saturday night, they were going to check it out this morning. So hopefully I will get a call soon to tell me the problem.
