B18C5 What would be better the Hondata or Mugen
i just baught my B18C5 and droped it into a 1995 Honda Del Sol. Black on stock rims but painted bronze. i was wonderin next step i will do is either put the hondata ecu or the mugen one. i was wondering which one would be better for my car. after that step i will also be turbo charging the car.
along with a few other internal parts at the same time. Just give me some feed back on some openions. anything i need lots of help open to listen to anything. thanx Lee

A hondata unit is not going to be as cost effective as a chipped ecu programmed for your vehicle. Click here for more information on a chipped obd1 ecu or visit http://phearable.net

If your going to turbo your car you need programmable engine management like Hondata. Not a chipped ECU like Mugen.
I have the Mugen N1 ECU on my car right now, and Mugen chipped it with following in mind: You need to have the Mugen I/H/E and you need 11.4:1 compression. If you don't have this, the Mugen ECU is a waste and won't give you more power than stock.

If you're going to continue to be making major changes to the car, one step at a time, then I think you are going to want a Hondata or another fully reprogrammable system.
It'll be more expensive, but if you're going to be making the changes step by step, I think it'll be the more economical choice in the long run.
I don't know a lot about AEM engine management, but I'm sure they sell a computer system that can be reprogrammed as you finish the car.
There also isn't just one kind of Hondata or AEM. I can make do with the cheapest Hondata, but you might not be able to.
I'd suggest you go to the Hondata site and locate a Hondata tuner in your vicinity, make his/her acquaintance, let him/her know excactly what it is you're going to be doing, and then follow his/her suggestions for purchase and tuning.
