New Headers...
Hey guys, I'm a first time poster here so I'll tell you a little bit about my background situation before I get to my question. My first car was 1994 GS-R and my dad ended up liking the car so much that he looked into them and found that they made a Type-R, which he eventually bought. I eventually sold my GS-R and as of last week bought the (1998) Type-R from my dad and what happens...the header breaks. So now I have to buy a new header ASAP but haven't done much research on them. Which header do you guys suggest me buying? Should I just order the stock part or is there a big difference with aftermarket headers? The car is all stock except a 5-Zigen Fireball cat-back exhaust system. I've looked up some MUGEN and TODA but they're $980 which I definately can't afford right now. I also looked into DC for $280 and Comptech for $480. Any information is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks so much guys!
The JDM 98 ITRs came with a tubular steel exhaust manifold from the factory with a 2.5" flange that a lot of people like. You can get that header for around $450 on average, and they make heatsheilds for it too, so thats a nice OE performance alternative.
DC JDM 4-1 2.5" collector is another good option as well.
What part of your stock unit broke?
