Default Project: Blitz Black DC2 (in progress)

I decided to go ahead and post pictures of my current project. I had my car painted a little over two years ago after it got hit. I switched from Milano Red to NSX formula Red. It was out of the body shop for 4hours befroe it got hit again in a parking lot. Since then it has been hit 4 more times while parked, hailed on, and suffered sever swirl marks. So I'm tired of this **** and secided to go for a flat black paint job. this will also solve my other problem which is that the door jams dont match the rest of the car. Here are the pictures of the project as it has unfolded. THe car is currently in primer. tomarrow it will get wet sanded and prepped for its final paint. I will be painting it next weekend. THis project was done completely by me in my driveway and in my garage. Enjoy or ridicule as you see fit.

here is the bfore pic. ctually this was about a yer ago before someone hit the front bumper

here is the spray booth i constucted in my garage with thumb tacs and plastic sheeting

i shaved the raer washer squirter while i was at it. and fixed as many dents as i could

here it is w/ the front end stripped in prep. I painted the bumpers and fenders off the car.

here is my setup for painting the bumpers. i suspended it in the air with 550 paracord and a couple bolts

here it is in the garage before i primed. as you can see its a tight squezze for me to fit in there and spray

and here it is after i rolled it out of the garage today.

i filed an insuarnce claim that paid out $2500 to paint my car and fix all the damage. Which wouldnt cover it actually getting done. So this is what i did. and i spent the rest of the money on this:

23mm jdm type r sway bar

3" thermal exhast (was planning on going turbo but i think i'll stay N2O

type R head with toda spings, cam gears and portflow retainers

clutchmasters dual friction clutch

jg victor X manifold

AR-15 carbine (semi auto M4)

this is my interior before i sprayed the jams (still have to take off my hatch to do the top of it

the jabs and interior were done with rattle cans. I'm thinking about spraying the wheels black too, since they are ugly and i dont plan on replacing them for a while. Eventualy i'll get some 16'' rota grids in royal sport bronze and paint my bracket too.

What do you think? should i spray the wheels while i'm at it.
