Default Eibach Pro Kit

Hey guys I have a question on the Eibach pro kits. Its not the normal vague question. I will try to be very specific. I drive a 1999 Honda Civic Si. I am looking into getting a new suspension set up. Something nice and sporty and affordable. I have been researching for quite some time and have pretty much came up with my set up but would like some further information. I am going to be getting the Tokico Illuminas with the eibach pro kit. I really like the illuminas and koni yellows are to much money. Anything I should be concerned with or know about special with these struts?

As for the eibach pro kits. I know they do not drop the car much. Thats okay with me. The car is a daily driver and a 1.1 - 1.5 inch drop is great. My question is regarding there spring rate. I have read many reviews on something like the Tein S tech were it is said they are very very soft and even sometimes bouncy. How are the pro kits?

Also after buying the Tokico Illuminas and Eibach pro kits do i need any parts off of my stock stuff to install them?

The car will be a daily driver. Sometimes a trip to the 1/4 mile drag strip and maybe some autocross. All Im looking for is a "sportier" ride then stock and slightly lower. Do you think this set up will be what I am looking for? Thanks for your time and hopefully you guys can help me out. I have been researching many setups and i think this is what i like. Thanks again

I find pro kits to basically be stock just slightly lower. I would go with atleast H&R sports or eibach sportlines for a performance upgrade. The drop is slightly lower and it will look better IMO without being to low at all.

The pro-kit rides very nice. You will like it. You`ll need parts off the oem shock for install.

i have found eibach prokit and tokico illumina combo a great setup for street daily driving. i liked the amount of drop, subtle, and just right for my taste. the springs were certainly more stiff than stock. im also a fan of illuminas. a good range of adjustment and feel, depending on what i want, and different springs i have used. i would recommend this setup. this was for my crx.

Same experience here. As I've gotten more competitive autocrossing, I have outgrown them (I need higher rates), but for DD, nice looks, decent ride and stiffness, the Pro-Kits are tough to beat.

Ground Control / Koni setup. Probably around 450f/500r rates or something like that.

Sorry for raising the dead. After reading this I had to post because I HATE THESE SPRINGS! I like the ride on the smooth roads but they bottom out easily on rough roads. I think it is the KYB AGX shocks that I put with them. Can someone help me by sugesting some good shocks because after seeing this it cant be the springs. Thank you if you can help my car!! oh yea its 00si

Are the shocks in good condition? How many miles do you have on the suspension? I'm running on AGXs with my Pro-Kits, and don't have a problem bottoming out.

They were new on install about 20k ago but they feel just like they did then. I followed the instructions with the springs and cut the bumpstop. The car felt beter with the stock si struts, but I sold them so I cant put them back. The only thing that may be different is the car is equiped with a vortech aftercooled kit. That thing has to be heavy when it is full of water. Can you help?
