Sup, guyz. I was woundring if anyone did this (put H22 or a LS vtec) into there integra. I need your guyz's opinion rather i should put a H22 or a LS vtec. What would be less problem or cheaper or if there is any bad problems with these sawp's. My brother currently bought a striped 00 GSR, with no motor and entirior. So my options are a LS vtec or H22 swap. If you know all the Up's and downs to eather of these swaps PLZ tell me. I dont want to run into any problems. (im gona help brother fix it :d)
I dont really need the speed becouse my bro is going to sell it sometime.
Remember i dont have wiring or any other stuff for GSR so its probly same truble if i put any of these swaps in... But i need something thats not too spendy.

LS/V is the way to be. H22's in Integras aren't logical in my opinion. Just run any common B motor swap. Less hassle for you and your brother. Does the car at least still have the tranny or was that stripped too?

Every thing... but suspenthions
Every thing... but suspenthions
not a fan of lsvtec one bit
Id go with the H22 if it was between those two...however, Id probably just get a gsr sway and be happy

you should go the h22 route... hella more torque and hp.
then, when you have the money... buy the b series adapter plate so you can use the b series tranny on that h22.
you'll be mobing in the low 13's even high 12's

The main, why i put this thred up is becouse i wanted to know if ill be running into a problems with LS/vtec swap or with H22 swap (with every thing that i read so far i think Puting a LS vtec is less truble and cheaper)

^ Wouldn't you like to know. Please search. They're many topics on this facinating setup. However, you can build an GSR if you don't want the hassle of putting together an LS/VTEC.

^ I have a rebuilt block. I'm up to about 13k right now. No problems so far. If built right, reguardless what motor it is, it'll last. The longevity of both motors will depend on what you do with it.

I read the H22 swap adds 100+ lbs to the engine bay throwing off the chassis. The balance gets messed up and you encounter steering issues. Understeer, Over, Etc. Not quite sure which or how many. I also hear the H22 Swap looses ac & power steering. And you have to alter a portion of the engine bay for fitment.
There are also other great builds like:
B20VTEC <-- block has increased bore size. See why this is good here:
http://www.team-integra.net/se...ID=20
B18B1 TURBO
B18C1 SUPERCHARGED / TURBO
Plus there are alot of variations with piston size, rod/stroke lengths among the different B series. As well as transmission options. (interchangable for diff. gear ratios)

cant read all these posts, but if you went ls/v you might as well go b20/v, I mean theres no reason not to, its an LS, with .2 more. Its like want a b16 or b18? simple.
H22's weight about 30 pounds more than a B18....you should read a little more carefully
also, how would you oversteer in a front wheel drive car with this ungodly heavy front end you speak of?

Without boost, I doubt it. (He has the GS-R chassis)

^ From the get go, B20/V has more torque than LS/V. Either way, it's still a common job putting it together. Whatever floats your boat. I would recommend boost.
