Default ITR Gauge Cluster wiring

I just got myself a ITR Gauge cluster and i need to wire it into my 89 CRX DX. Now i heard that these clusters are plug and play with integras....how true is this? because if so then i will just pick up an integra manual so that i know what wire goes were....now if they are not or the color of the wires are different then my question is were can i get a manual or maybe a site with the wiring diagram for the integra type-r cluster....thanx in advance for any help.

teg's blue left side plug (13 pins)

2. grn/org check engine indicator
3. yel/red oil pressure switch
4. NOT USED NOT USED
5. wht/blu charge indicator

8. blk ground
9. red/blu cruise (if you have cruise)
10. yel hot
11. NOT USED NOT USED
12. pink maintenance (not used)
13. NOT USED NOT USED

teg's right side blue plug (16 pins)

1. grn/red e.brake signal
2. red/grn high beam
3. grn/yel right turn
4. grn/blu left turn
5. NOT USED NOT USED
6. blk/yel power
7. red/blk power
8. red power
9. blu/red abs (not used)
10. grn trunk switch
11. org vehicle speed sensor
12. NOT USED NOT USED
13. blu/wht low fuel (not used, cant be used w/ out integra gastank and sensor)
14. yel/wht fuel gauge
15. lt grn/red door switch (not used, can be used w/ extra wiring to the doorpins)
16. red/blu seat belt

Its pretty simple to trace the wiring from the back of the itr cluster to the appropriate pin. It tok me 2-3 hours to completely wire my gsr cluster including the vss and mounting the hood

http://www.ef-honda.com/ben/DCcluster.php

use the colors/pins from this site for the wiring in your car

http://www.ef-honda.com/main/viewtopic.php?t=10249

this has some good pics and pinouts for the 88/89 harness

Good luck, and remember, search is your friend, this took me about 10 minutes to find

that was for type r wiring, are you sure you got the right plugs with your cluster, it realy dosent matter, trace the wirer on the back of your cluster, its really very easy, Fyi the 13 pin plug is exactly the same, and the other plug is a 16, not 17 pin plug, and almost every wire is the same just reverse your order, or mine.

i was reading the wires in the wrong direction.....they are all the same except two.

one is the orange wire which you say vss.....but they can be diff color right? cause mine is blue/white

the other is on the right plug....number 8 you said its red-power....mine is a black wire? so any ideas on that one?

but thanx for all the info

i traced them and that wire leads to one side of 3 of the lights. the other side runs back to pin 7 which you said was red/black-power....

7. red/blk power
8. red power (so are you sure this is not blk-ground?)

i guess it would have to be if the other side of the light bulbs is the red/blk-power correct?

no they did come with the cluster when i bought it. all the wires that PURPLETERROR said did match up to mine accept that he said that #8 on the left pin should be a red wire possitive accept mine is a black wire..... The pin that i need to know about is in the picture. its the left clip slot without the clip in it, its the pin that is on the right side of the clip release. or you can count 9 pins in from the left of the pic. so if anyone could trace that and give me an answer if it is (+) or (-) that would be great. I was told that the 10th pin from the left is also positive and i believe that the 9th pin hits on side of the bulbs in the cluster and the 10th pin is on the other side....so i assume one should be negative and one should be positive unless im wrong. any help would be great cause thats the only wire im lost on.
