05 accord coupe reception

05 accord coupe reception
I have an 05 accord coupe LX-se which I am loving. This is my first new car and I firmly believe that it cannot be touched by anything in its class for the price. I am however quite shocked at the reception of the stock radio. It is truly abysmal. I must say that my 00 Civic HX with its stock tape deck and antenna absolutely trounces this car in reception. I am having a hard time getting a crisp, clear reception on two of my favorite local channels that I like to listen to. What is up with this? I've noticed that the antenna in my new car is in the glass, I think, as I haven't seen one protruding anywhere else. Could this have something to do with the poor reception? Is there anything I can do to improve this? Is anyone else in the same boat?

Is anyone else in the same boat? </TD></TR></TABLE> Take it back to the dealer, If it's an inglass ant. then it may also be an amplified one and there may be a problem with it, I would ask to check out the reception on the other 05s that ar on the lot

have an 03 lx w/ in glass antenna, great reception here in jersey, usually get stations from both philly and NYC. Some people have complained that the ant. port on the back of their head unit was pretty fragile. Doesn't hurt to take it into a dealer since it's still under warranty
