Suspension Problem with KYB's!!!!
I just installed KYB 5-way adjustable struts on my Civic hatchback with the sprint springs I had on my stock struts and everything seemed fine at first. Then I took it out today and after driving 20 miles it began to feel weird, so I got out andchecked everything and my car is now 2"'s lower than it was before in the front!(WTF!!!!
) So now it seems as if it has been lowered 4" to 4 1/2"'s and is tucking tires on 205-50-15's and is rubbing like crap!
Is something wrong? Should I send them back?
Should I put the stock struts back on or get some coilovers(I hate coilovers)?
Help, this doesnt seem right! Has anyone else had this problem?

I am going down now to jack up the car and check everything out!
The springs were 2 1/2" drop springs and sat perfect on the stock struts, but slammed the car on the KYB's.
I donot understand why!!!!

have you bothered looking to see if something is obviously wrong? It's not just going to drop 2" in 20 minutes because of the shocks, there's obviously a problem. Either your perch came loose (doubtful), the shock slipped further into the fork, or the fork/lca bolt came loose/broke

open hood of the car and bounce the front of the car while watching the nut on the top of the strut.
if the shaft and nut are moving up and down you may have forgot to install something while assembling the strut. either the metal collar that goes in between the rubber bushings or the metal washer that goes on before the dust sheild.
if those are all ok then you have some other problems.....
good luck
