garage paint job pics for the haters





painted in the garage used dupont paint and a 40 dollar hvlp gun from harbor freight
buffed using some no name rotary buffer and 3m pads and compound, inside and engine bay was painted using single stage and the rest of the car was 2 stage

yea we were testing air pressure and spray width on the wall before it went on the car
on a side note turned out really well for the first car i've ever painted i'll be putting it back together this week i'll take some pics as i get more progress on it i got the headlights and taillights all in tonite the front end has all be aligned progress will be slow since i have 2 more weeks of school which includes finals

Taking the glass out is the right way to paint a car. You get in the areas where it matters, when you go butt up against molding it can chip very easily there. When we painted my car, I had a glass comoany come and take out the glass, they used a big razor blade tool that cut all the glue off the inside of the window, had to do it from the inside.
