1) radio is useless here. not even same freq
2) CF radio for $350? OMFG.... what kind of nut...for $350 you can get a top of the line head unit.

I don't get this JDM fad thing. No pun to you my friend ^^^. The premium that one pays for all these parts could quite possibly pay for the plane ticket to Japan to get them.

Though I digress, I did make a $2k Spoon order when I first got my R

I admitt, it looks really nice and does complete the JDM ITR, but that's not a small price to pay............that's pretty steep if you ask me. *Shrug*

the last one i saw for sale was 650 bucks 5 years ago. new from honda of japan they are 1200 US. for 350 plus a small price to pay for shipping, i think it's worth it. right now the only thing not OEM JDM ITR interior on my car is the radio. i have the same gathers model, but in gold. they have a 20wx4 internal amp, and sound pretty good compared to other aftermarket headunits, and thousands of times better than the stock headunit.

oh, and trust me, i don't get the JDM fad either. we got the RHD because it was cheaper than a usdm and has better parts and features. not a day goes by i don't wish it was LHD tho.

Henry had that head unit on his cwest py itr. Imo, the head unit sounds just like stock, def. not worth $350.

It is a pretty nice piece for the simple fact its rare as @#$%. I wonder if you can separate the 2 and just use the CD player? The frequency thing doest mean jack to me as long as I can still use my XM radio with it. What frequencies does it cover? I still wouldnt buy it though.

yes, you can use only the CD player, as long as you have something to plug it into. it won't plug directly into the factory harness or into usdm radios. the FM freq is 76.0-90.0. you can buy a frequency convertor to shift the readout tho so you can pick up the US radio stations. they run about 30-60 bucks.

I've seen a few of those and they look cool, i was gonna buy one for 200 but the guy selling it told me that even with the converter it would not work. So i passed it up.

Not quite Alpine F#1 status either

That's like several thousand for a damn headunit/

I'll agree with the fact that it might sound better than a stock head unit, but def. not better than aftermarket headunits... most cheapy head units now are at LEAST 45-50wx4
