Default viper 791xv issue

Ive recently noticed that my viper doesnt transmit when the shock sensor goes off, it does not trasmit a warning to my LCD remote. I know the transmission from the car is not completely dead because the remotes still let me know if my dooor or trunk is not closed when i arm.

Could it be the settings? Reprogram?

Anyideas?
thanks

It should tell you by beeps and the little icon on the remote. I would say it might be the remote and not the alarm itself. Take it to the shop you got it installed and see what they say. Did it ever tell you and how long have you had the alarm.

yea it used to tell me, i had a battery go bad(low) and i had to hook up a new battery. In the meantime however i was playing with the valet button radomly.

It tells me that the car has been jacked with, after i disarm.

It just doesnt tell me when the alarm is triggered. Other than that every notiffication is working fine.

stop messing w/ the remote if you don't know what you are doing. Hold all four buttons simultaneously until one long beep is heard. Then hold * within five seconds to toggle the page mode(ON OR OFF)

I do the setup on my remote everytime to i change the AAA, i might have pressed the * accidently.

THe battery that went bad was my car battery, when it went low, i got a jump and the alarm stoped synching, that was when i panicked and start playing with the valet button in the car. But after i disconnected the battery and reconnected it the remote synced up fine.

But anywho, it now works. thanks all

Lately at my shop (Car Toys) We have been doing a lot of defecitive swaps on Two way DEI alarms. Usually the brain is not sending responder signals back to the remote. Go have your brain swapped. It has a lifetime warranty.

We have had some similar issues at the shop I work at. We found sometimes it was the antenna not the brain box. Glad it was just a programing problem and everything is ok.
