Default How tall is a bike?

Well, I'm looking into buying a bike in the near future, and most of the bikes I see listed online arent really within my locale, so I'd likely have to go pick up the bike. I dont have access to a truck, but I do have my work van, and I havent measured the ceiling height yet, but I'm trying to see what the feasibility of putting the bike in the back of my van would be.

If someone could get a rough measure of the bike standing straight up to the highest point ont he bike, as well as the length and widest part of the handlebars, I'd appreciate it. In the meantime I looked at few manufacturers sites and couldnt find the info, but will keep looking. Thanks!

Yeah, I found it now on a few sites, but they all seem to list seat height and wheelbase, but not total length/height specs.

That answers that. If you can fit 2 in the back of a Jeep Cherokee, you can fit one in the back of a freakin Ford work van.

Thanks EG.

thats a Safari; like one of those vans with the barnyard doors on the back.

ive even seen a gsxr in a newer caravan, so one of those big ford work vans shouldnt be a problem

Yeah, theres probably 2.5-3' of workable width between the toolchests on either side, as well as room to stand straight-legged and hunched over at the waist a bit. My vans good for something afterall.

So if my calculator skills are correct, that 1000RR is no taller than 43-44" tall.

I measured today, I got 40" wide, 50" tall, and 7 feet deep. I'd say thats plenty large.
