Default 16x7 wheels, Need new lugs?

Hi All, my son just got a 1998 Honda Civic EX Coupe and wants to put 16x7 wheels on it. I know about offset and bolt pattern but I wanted to know if the stock lugs will fit or if He needs different ones to be safe. We don't know squat about Honda's yet so all opnions are welcome. Thanks. BTW, I think he would be better off with 15" rims but it's not my car.

Most likely yes. Most aftermarket wheels take a lug with an angle cut seat. Stock Honda uses an acorn style (rounded).

Just will have to be looked upon when installed. A local tire/wheel should tell you if you have them install it. Just plan to spend upwards of an extra $50 just in case. And make sure and get some wheel locks. Cheap investment for the expensive items they are protecting.
