I showed this to a few people and they said it looked like corosion to them, anyone know if thats true? or what would cause this to happen ?
any help is appreciated

looks like a plastic bag got caught on there and got melted...

 

i didn't run anything over, at least i dont think so, as for the dripping i have no idea what it is, the drops are dry, it wasn't like actively dripping when that pic was taken

 

Could be anything. Can't really tell by pictures.

I didn't touch the white part because I had just been driving and it was really hot, the drop part i was able to break off a peice, still dont know what it is though

it makes sense but I think there'd be more of it on there, or possibly wrapped around something else, basically what you see in the pic is it, so it seems kinda unlikely that a peice of that size would stick
