Default Widest tire for stock 15" wheels

I'm getting steelies off of a 2003 civic ex for my 92 hatch.

I was wondering how wide I could go without having bowing or rubbing issues.
My coilovers are adjustable, so I'm not too worried about the rubbing part.

I was thinking maybe 195 or 205 ::: 50 series

TIA

A 195 is the narrower tire, but a 205 is what is considered the tire for that wheel. You didnt specific your width though in your post, and that is what really matters. If it's a 15x5.5 a 195 will be a bit big. But if it's a 6.5-7, go with the 205. Only a couple dollars more over a 195.

Or you can go 215/45/15 that toyo make but i think it all bit wide, since you have steelies.
