My battery keeps going dead, but it does this randomly. I think my alternator is just going out but it messured 14.3 volts to the battery last time I checked. Every now and then the battery will appear dead but I wiggle the wires on the alternator plug and then it magically starts usually next time. So, it would appear I need a new alternator but what is really strange is that now when I have the ignition on and there is no power getting to it and I close my door at the same time the power will suddenly come on for a brief second. At the same time the power blinks on(as I close my door) there is a solenoid making noise under the hood but I dont think its the vtec one although it sounds like it could be. This is all very strange!!!

Sometimes the car wont start unless the ignition is on and I close the door at the same time as turning it over. Anyone have idea's???

maybe your alternator regulator is going bad. it is a 4G car.

 

Had the same problem; Replaced my alternator but that didn't fix it. Turned out to be the connector on the alterntor. Once I had it properly connected it worked fine.

i had a similar problem with the wifes volvo..the battery kept going dead and AAA kept coming over ..eventually sears put a new battery in and it kept going dead..turns out there was a short that kept draining the battery..cost me $200 to find the problem and fix with a $12 part..but again, its a volvo
