Problems shifting from 4th to 5th... then a KAA-CHUKKK on freeway....
So I noticed this morning when I was driving to work i was having problems shifting from 4th gear to 5th. Sometimes it worked....as if I was shifting without using the cluth....
So I decided I was going to take it in on tuesday...so i was driving carefully back home after work, on the freeway, and i was shifting from 4th to 5th and heard a big KACHUKK, and lost all ability to shift into any gear and the clutch went gummy.
I pulled over to the side of the road, and checked under the hood, and found nothing, no liquid under the car, so i decided to try to start it up. I put the car in neutral start up the engine, and let it idle....it idled fine.
turned off car.
when car was off, I shifted into first gear, and started up the car...it immediately jumped forward and started going, but if i ever shifted out of first, the clutch would not engage again.
whats the problem?
is it the disk?
was there a leak in the transmission fluid?
its parked outside an acura repair shop, but I dunno what to do?
HELPP!!!!

Need new clutch. There's a bunch of threads on this, check it out.
The clutch spring comes out, and causes problems just like what you're having.

It also happen to me...Had to shift it without the clutch to the garage...
If you got acces to a clutch manufaturer near your place then get a double pp and stage 2 clutch and it should solve the prob for a while...The pedal will be a bit firmer but it's a lot stronger... If you want names (Centerforce, etc...) you'll pay the big prices...
**** happen!
