Default Brakes?

So im looking to replace my wearing brakes and today i go into NAPA and they tell me that for my car (91 LE 2 door) there are two different brake styles and the only way to tell them apart is to bring a pad in. I'd rather not do that, so whats a easier way to tell what brake system i have.

I am pretty sure the nissin calipers say nissin on the caliper and the akebono ones don't. I may be wrong on this; deserthonda can you confirm this?

KEN now that you mention it ,i do remember reading nissin on pads when the shims are removed
hans if you don't want to take pads down there remove shims and see if you can read brand on it like ken says i think only the nissin have it written on it you might to clean pad up a bit to read it ,, but my advise is still to spend an extra 10 bucks and go with factory pads , a lot of after market pads will squeal
