Mobile 1 oil filter disapointment

has anyone ever had any problems with mobile 1 oil filters because i noticed mine sucked. it leaked very slowly and made smoke come from under the hood. Just wondering if this happened to anyone else.

yes that happened to me once it was when i didnt tighten it down enough and also did not lube the rubber gasket that is on it.

I don't think your tightening it enough. When tight a oil filter shouldn't leak.

its not the filter. THe mobil 1 is one of the best filters on the market. you just tightened it like a girl

put some lube or oil on the gasket on the filter and then screw it in hand tight.
