Ok, I picked up a '90 DX Hatch with a D16A6 block Y8 head combo swapped in that isn't running. I checked a few things today, & the only thing that is really poping in my head is the ECU. The little led on it doesn't do the initial flash like I've seen my Si ECU do. That flash is supposed to happen right? I remember I would get 1 flash when I turned on the key to my Si, then if there was a code stored it would flash the code, but I always got that initial flash as soon as I turned on my key. If you weren't lookin right at the led on the ECU you'd miss it cause it would do it once & once only then flash whatever codes it had stored. The wiring that had been converted looks ok, could've been presentable I think though. The PO said it did run with that swap in until he popped the headgasket when he gunned it. He said he took everything back apart, & redid all the gaskets & everything was good until he sparked a "HOT" power wire off the shift **** when he was installing the stereo. Sorry this is so long, just trying to get everything I do know in here so maybe someone can think of what I haven't yet.
