Cutting Carbon Fiber Question
hey guys i had a question in regards to cutting carbon fiber with a dremel. After making my cf piece with 2 layers of resin i got my dremel and started to cut the shape of the piece i wanted. The only problem is that when all that powder dust thing gets on the top of the nice clear resin layer it makes it all hazy. How do you prevent that because without the nice clearness, cf is worthless for show pieces. I tried taping the top side but it left sticky crap from the tape.
Before i start cutting am i suppose to spray a uv clear coat first?

1)lay cloth
2)pour resin, minor tweaking and allow to dry. Vacuum bag if possible
3)trim using tape along edges to help keep straight cuts and minimize fraying of edges
4)Wet sand
5)Gel coat
6)wetsand
7)UV clearcoat if desired
8)wetsand
9)buff
I think you can see where and blemishes are removed in the above steps
