I just put in a full tank of gas. i thought it was on Empty, but when i filled it up it was only 5 gallons. and when the car is on the gas gauge only goes half way. any help is appreciated. I ran a search but didnt find anything. thanks HT people.

 

 

 

Sounds like your fuel senser is bad. Pull it out and take a look at it, also make sure all the wiring is fine.

 

This wont help your gauge problem but I just go by my mileage...I fill up every 300 miles and I put in about 9-10 gal. It wont fix your gauge but it will help you not run out of gas.
