Default OK I searched GSR throttle body and 96-00 civic intake manifold on 93 sohc

Alright I am getting this al together and things are never as straight forward as others make them out to be.

I was hoping to find some info from those that have done this already. So far I have run into a few bumps in the road and of course I would like to get as much info as possible.

So far I have found a few things that need to be addressed...

The fuel rail from my car will not fit this intake manifold
Your gonna need the throttle linkage off your original throttle body-not that hard
the idle air control port on the thottle body doesn't line up perfectly. You will have to do some grinding and cut the gasket to get it resonably lined up. Not a big deal but good to know. May have work without doing this but probably a good idea to do to get proper air flow.

Now another thing that concerns me is the bracket that holds the intake underside. I guess you don't need it and with after market intake you probably don't use it so maybe I shouldn't worry right?
Well I am going to sand and polish it for this reason and hopefully take some weight off in the process so I feel more comfortable not having the bracket on there.

Oh also on the gsr throttle body it has the line that coolant runs thru. Do you really need that? I can't imagine it really does help so I was thinking I may just cut it off completely.

BIGGEST CONCERNS

On my civic it has a hose right at the top of the throttle body. It leads to some canister. Not sure what it is but the gsr one doesn't have this. What is this for

Also on the back of my intake manifol there is a small sensor and on the new one there is no place for this. Not sure what it is. Any ideas???

The coolant lines are there to warm the throttle body in cold weather to prevent the butterfly from freezing into one spot. You being in NY may want to have that hooked up because having your throttle stuck open cant really be all that fun.
