Default 320mm/12.6inch steering wheel too small for 4th Gen?

Hi guys, I'm going to replace my factory steering wheels for a momo tuner and am wondering if the 320mm/12.6" version will still allow me to see my gauges, or should I just forget it and go for the 350mm version?

Also are there any 4th Gen owners using a 320mm steering wheel? How does it feel? I'm thinking that the smaller diameter wheel will add more weight in the steering feel with powersteering in place. Is this the case?

Thanks!

Yes this is true. However, the smaller diameter wheel will not only provide more steering weight and better feel, it will also decrease the amount you have to turn the wheel to obtain the same amount turn in when compared to the stock wheel. I'm not using that specific wheel but I am using a smaller then stock one. Hope this helped

Thanks for confirming my thory 97Preludeguy, now all I need to know is if a 320mm wheel is big enough for me to see my instrumentation cluster comfortably.

I have a 320mm wheel on my 93' and it is difficult to see the gauges. I have the tilt as low as it can go, in order for me to look over it (I'm 5'10"). I could try the opposite, but don't like my wheel up high. Currently I can see rpms above 3500 and speeds above 40-45 mph easily, everything less than that requires moving.

Thanks for your input 2lude4u! That was what I was thinking too, to have it high up so that I can see the gauges, but I agree with you I don't like having my steering wheel up too high either... looks like I'm leaning towards the 350mm wheel then... I don't think I'll have trouble seeing my gauges through that, will I? hmmm.... decisions, decisions...
