05 r6 exhuast question
Short answer, no. There isn't any easy way to feasibly remove any of the baffling. The majority of the sound suppression in that muffler comes from the fact that it loops through a few chambers. There is nothing you could just open and remove. Maybe with a lot of cutting on the inside, but it hardly seems worth it.
I know because I tried with a spare slip on, and just ended up giving up and buying one. Keep in mind I'm a huge DIY guy and regularly build exhausts, etc. Just not worth it on such a nice machine. IMHO
edit: sidenote, I ended up with 2 brothers hi-mount, love the looks and sound!
