Default thinking about going back

well as many of you know, I bought an 03 evo about 3 months ago, and don't get me wrong the car is great. However, financially (although affordable for me) it is a little stressful. Plus the ITR just had something about it that I miss. I know everyone always says make your own decision... blah, blah, blah.... i just want to know what everyone else thinks. The part that pulls me in the most is that I would save a LOT of money by going back to the ITR, and like I mentioned before although the EVO is affordable for me the ITR would leave me plenty of breathing space.

I don't know what to tell ya, I have trouble affording the ITR It depends if you really use your car. I think the Honda reliability is better, your call really... i'm sure the EVo VIII is great to drive.

the evo VIII is great for a daily driver, and weekend warrior, but with the ITR I would be able to afford a lot more track days, as well as modifications

Id say go for another Type R man
If you would save alot of money that would be great thing, you never know if that evo will give you expensive problems later down the road...

I think about owning other types of cars, great turbo cars like STI-EVO etc. and rw drive cars like the s2000 but the only way id own another car is if i got to keep the Type R.

I always do have the strong urge to have something Different but i just cant see myself getting rid of the R, no way no how...

I guess thats why i want a street bike so bad, something very different and fun but also very attainable to have along with my R - also will save miles on my R from the daily work commute

ITR = paranoia.

So, you'll buy another ITR & a beater? I wish there were no thefts in the world, as I miss my first ITR... but, I don't miss all the paranoia associated with the car.

well i would probably get the ITR and something else... however that something else will be a little down the road, but when I had my last ITR it was my daily driver

In your first post you answered your own question not once but twice . It appears to me, and everyone out there with a bit of intelligence that you have already decided.

However, since your planning on a beater for daily driving, why not wait until your financially ready to purchase both cars around the same time?

Your asking this question in an Integra Type-R forum Go ask the same question in an EVO forum and I'm pretty sure they'll tell you the opposite of what everyone here is. Personally I hate any kind of debt and would much rather have a fully paid off R with some extra cash than being broke with a financed EVO. Plus, when i see an EVO i think "big deal, its fast" but when I see an ITR (2 or 3 times a year tops not including meets) I get excited. Your call though

Listen, money wise the R is the way to go. You get a nice sports car that is reliable, and most importantly, keeps its value (a buddy just got 20K for his stolen 01 R).

Look at cars like the EVO, etc. They loose their value big time. You might as well take the money and burn it.

Hell, I know a few ITR owners who sold their ITR and bought a used S2K for almost the same price.

Me personally, until the R can't drive anymore I will keep it. I enjoy not having a car payment and saving my money for more important things; and I assure you there is a long list before you get to "a nice car"
