Buddy Club Spec III Plus Camshafts
I have been thinking about getting a set of cams for my GS-R, and would like to know if anybody here has used the Buddy Club cams on a similar setup? I don't mind hearing about other cams either. I run a stock GS-R bottom end, and valve-train, but would upgrade the valve-train if needed. I drive my car on the street, and occasional auto-x, and at drag events. Any cam I use will have to maintain street-ability, and be mild enough to tune with a stock bottom end. Does anybody know of a good choice?
with buddy club spec III+ and Skunk2 Stage 2's you would be overcamming your motor..
A better upgrade to think of would be Skunk2 Stage I's. The lift and duration of this cam is a little more wilder than that of the CTR/ITR profiles..
Also you can keep you stock valvetrain, but it is recommended that you swap your intake springs to the exhaust side and buy ITR intake valve springs..
This is because the intake side already has dual valve springs, and they are the exact same as the itr exhaust spring. Therefore you would need to buy ITR valvesprings for the intake side. Just FYI retainers are the same so no need to worry there.
