is anyone running royal purple oil. i have been running 5w-30 for about 3 years not boosted and i am courious if it will preform the same on a boosted motor.

 

all oil is the same if changed regular

 

royal purple is great oil. but if you plan to run boost you might want to run a grade a little thicker than 5W30

 

UOAs show this stuff to thin out quickly ... even in 10W-30. I wouldn't use their street grades for a boosted motor.

Lots of people like this oil becuase of the bling-bling kewl purple color ... but even that doesn't last too long.

 

That is all I have used in my street car (boosted) and in my race car. Seems to work great for me. But I'm switching the methanol and now have to change oil in between passes. A little too expensive now.
