i have a crx si so i have a d16a6. there is a ticking noise in the motor, i sent it to the machine shop to get the springs reset or whatever you want to call it. i got it back and it didnt do it for about a month and then it started ticking again. can someone tell me what to do. Someone said maybe get a new cam for it and it might go away. i want to put new piston rings in it becasue it is smoking alittle. But i would like to figure out a way to make the tapping stop. So if someone could help me that would be greatly appreciated. also i dont know if anyone can help me here but if i take turns real fast my car boggs down and its like it almost dies. and then you have to rev it back up to take off, we have tried alot of different things but we cant get it to go away.

 

Find out what is causing the ticking. Your sure its not your fuel injectors ?

 

Get your valves adjusted...

 

I'm guessing it's the valve tran or rocker assemblies. When they are out of spec, they "tick". Adjust your valves. Injectors arn't loud at all. I can't head mine "tick" when I drive.
