Another brake question help me out guys...
I currently bought an 88 dx hatch with lots of miles on it but I dont care because I'm going to be doing a swap soon. My question is I think there's something wrong with my brakes. I recently changed out the pads, but still the car is not braking like it should. Everytime I press the brake pedal i hear this air coming from under the steering wheel it sounds like an air leak or something, and also the rpms drop a bit everytime I break. Please help me out here I have no idea what's causing this thanks in advance.
go under the dash and feel at the top of the pedal where it bolts up and see if it is wet and grimey, if it is change your brake booster
The brake pedal feels hard and is not sinking at all. I'm going to try and bleed my brakes tomorrow and if that's not it then I will be getting a new brake booster. Thanks for your replies guys.
