I get up to go to work this morning, backing my bike out of the garage. My mom is also leaving, she doesn't see me behind her and backs up into me
Front fairing, and both sides are trashed, both clutch and brake handles are bent, as well as a cracked radiator. I was on the passenger side just on the rear corner of her car, she didn't see me and just backed up into me. It was so horrible I saw it all happening so slow. I looked to see her reverse lights come on and I thought to myself, "she's not really going to hit me" but before I could get to the horn the damage was allready done.
The worst part is I just fixed the plastics last weekend as well as sanded them and I was going to repaint it all this weekend, so much for that idea. I am so bummed, I'm not going to beable to ride for awhile, DAMN IT!!!

My mom doesn't ever pay attention either!
Make her pay for it, if she wants to go through insurance that's fine. Maybe if you make her pay she will pay more attention when she's driving!

Dont you hate that? It wouldnt have been so bad if you didnt see her coming, but just the fact you recognized she was backing up at you and you watched the whole thing happen makes it that much worse.
I hate it when that happens, you see whats about to happen and then just watch it unfold because you're helpless to do anything about it.
Kinda like looking into your rear view at a stop light and seeing the car behind you flying up behind you and not slowing down. You know you're gonna get hit but theres not much you can do.

Yeah she was totally freaked out after it happened, and yes she will pay for it all.

awww i remember the day my mom backed my own car down the drive way with out looking (or asking me if she could take my car btw) and backed right into the car i was 1/2 in (door open siting on the driver side 1 foot in 1 foot out) getting some papers out of the car...
Not only did my mom pin my leg in the door i think it took her a full minute to move the fucken car to free me... during the middle of B-Ball season no less also....
**** right afterwards she took off with her friend to a party while i limped up the drive way to the house...
Of course my dad came rushing home once someone told him what happened cussing my mom out the whole time i heard...
my mom never fixed the damage on my car... she did pay her friend for the damage to their door (the car i was 1/2 in) how ever and told them she was sorry... i don't recall her ever telling me she was sorry....
I hope you have better luck with your mom!

Yeah, my mom was so sorry. She was crying and everything, it helped me to keep my cool cause I was so pissed, but what can you do it's your mom.
I got the radiator fixed yesterday
It was only $40, a lot better than a new one for $500. Hopefully I'll be ordering some plastics this week.
Thinking about ordering from air-tech.

Anyone know anything about the quality of there parts?

Yeah Honda has been running AirTech's on their factory teams since the dawn of time.
Top Notch quality. That all carbon bodywork there is pretty sick. I think the factory tank weighs 13lbs and the carbon one shown there only weighs like 2.5lbs. Of course everything is also available in fiberglass. Comparatively priced too.

This is why they teach you in drivers training to LOOK OVER YOUR SHOULDER when backing up. People that don't look over their shoulder are just asking for an accident. Do you really think that little tiny rearview mirror is showing you everything that's behind you? The people that really tick me off are the ones that just throw it in reverse without looking behind them at all.

And punch the gas instead of just letting the car roll back.
I'll try to post pics of damage, put all the cracked fairings back on and touched up w/rattle can best I could. Doesn't look to bad, but will look so much better with new fairings.
