Will these fit 99 civic si?
I'm loking at buying a set of rims and tires for my 99 civic si. they are 18x8 with a 40mm offset 4x114 and 4x100 bolt patterns. Tire size is 215/35. Will they fit?
checked tirerack.com looks like the 18x8 4x100 bolt pattern will fit and they recommend the 215/35 tire size as well.........but i personally think that it will look funny, the rims are too big....get some 16's maybe even 17's.......they will look better and also will be cheaper........
The main reasons I am looking at these rims are looks and price. I really like the look and style and they are brand new. They come with nitto 555r's mounted and balanced. I can get them cheap cheap cheap.
dude 18" on a civic is WAY to huge. i had 17" on a 97 ex and they were to big. i just ordered some new rims for my 2000 si and i got 15" they will be big enough. and you drive a civic, so im assuming yo ucomplain about it being slow right? a good way to slow a slow car down real fast is put some ginormous rims on it. less rotating mass=more acceleration. keep that in mind, but if you do go with 18", dont post pics because you will be hammered for it, just to warn ya.
i have 18" on my civic 18 by 7.5 though with 215/35 tires, fit fine but the wheel is already wider than the tire a half in more will be even worse, and the perfomace are noticable
compared to a 15 or a 16 wheel.
